We are very happy welcoming dogs to Skelwith Fold Caravan Park.
We have plenty of space around the park for dogs to be walked and played with, as well as the stunning countryside of the Lakes on our doorstep for longer canine excursions. Of course, we do ask that owners are responsible with their pets and clean up after them whilst at Skelwith – we have children as well as dogs wanting to use our facilities! Please be aware that we do have a limit of a maximum of three dogs per touring caravan in the interests of the welfare of our furry friends.
Below we have listed some of the best places that our guests might like to take their dogs for a stroll (or jog, or walk, or whatever you rather!):
Playing Field – We have a large playing field on site that is great for giving dogs some exercise whilst you and your four-legged friend are on holiday.
Woodlands – explore our woodland paths and tire out your pooch at the same time!
The Local Area – since we have the whole of the Lake District right outside our front door, why not take your dog for a walk in the local area? There is no shortage of walks around Ambleside that you could take, just ask at reception for a map of one of our local walks.
Lake Windermere – why not take the short walk down to the water with your dog? Most of our furry friends seem to enjoy a good splash!
