Are dogs and other pets allowed?
Skelwith Fold is a dog friendly park and pets are welcome in most areas, with a maximum of three dogs per touring caravan/motorhome.
We have a range of pet friendly accommodations from Holiday Cottages, Safari Suites, Safari Tents and Family Hideaways
All our glamping and cottage rentals allow a maximum of two well bahved dogs and we provide a large dog crate, bowl and basket and towel.
There is a small charge per dog staying with us at Skelwith Fold which helps to maintain the highest standard of stay for both dogs and people staying with us.
Please keep dogs on a short lead under strict control around all touring pitches, holiday homes and glamping units. Dogs may not be left unattended anywhere on the park at any time, including inside your accommodation. Please note that you are responsible for your pets at all time, including cleaning up after them and keeping noise to a minimum to avoid disturbing other guests.
We reserve the right to ask the owner of any dog which causes a nuisance or threat to remove it from the park immediately. We cannot accept any breeds listed under the Dangerous Dogs Act.
Are there hairdryers available?
Our glamping and cottage accommodations all have a hairdryer provided.
For touring customers, our shower blocks have hairdryers available inside which are free to use.
Can we have a barbecue?
Barbecues are permitted, but we ask that you not place them directly onto the ground, decking or picnic benches as this may cause damage. Please dispose of them responsibly.
Our glamping guests may wish to make use of the sheltered barbecue area located by the Family Hideaway units. Here there are frames built to hold a disposable barbecue tray which you can purchase from our park shop. Please leave this area as you would wish to find it. You may leave the disposable barbecue in the frames at this location for our wardens to dispose of.
If you are staying in the Greenhouse, a full gas BBQ is provided for your use.
Do you have WiFi?

How do you use the heater in the main bedroom?
Open the front doors on the heater to reveal three buttons below the ‘logs’. The left hand button will turn the heater on or off. The middle button will set the heater to a low heat, while the right hand button will set it to a high heat.
How do you use the barbeque?
After removing the BBQ cover, remove the lid. Turn the dial on the front to the left until you hear a click as it automatically ignites.
Please help our housekeepers by cleaning this after each use. Thank you!
How do you open the safari tents?
To open your safari tent, lift each zip to the top of the door. Roll the canvas up to the top and then tie it securely using the straps at the top of the door.
How do you use the hob?
To use the hob, first set the timer using the dial on the left. Then turn the temperature dial to the setting you require. Please note – the hob will not work unless you set the timer.
How do you use the microwave?
Please refer to the guest information book for instructions on how to use the microwave.
How do you use the lounge heater?
To use the heater in the lounge, first of all lift the lid on top. On top of the gas canister inside, look for the dial with the green line. Turn this dial anti-clockwise to show a red flame facing you on the dial.
Then, turn the black dial on the heater (marked with heating level indicators) to the desired heat setting. While holding this, press the ignition button next to it. Finally, replace the lid on top of the heater.
Please note: for safety, please always turn the fire off when leaving your safari tent.
